Verenium Corporation, a pioneer in the development and commercialization of high-performance industrial enzyme solutions, today announced that it will now market and sell DELTAZYM GA L-E5, a high performance enzyme for the saccharification of liquefied starch in the fuel ethanol production process. The DELTAZYM GA L-E5 enzyme has demonstrated high ethanol yields at industrial scale using multiple substrates including corn, milo, barley, wheat, and cassava.

Verenium estimates the addressable global market for DELTAZYM GA L-E5 for fuel ethanol production to be approximately $200 million annually.
DELTAZYM GA L-E5 is a high activity glucoamylase designed to provide cost benefits and high ethanol yields in fuel ethanol production. DELTAZYM GA L-E5 is used to saccharify liquefied mash from various substrates including corn, milo, barley, wheat, and cassava.
