The 3rd Annual RetrofitTech Dubai Summit & Awards was a resounding success. Under the patronage of Dubai Electricity & Water Authority and officially supported by the Supreme Council of Energy, Etihad Energy Services, and TAQATI, the summit gathered 300+ attendees to discuss Dubai’s multi-sector retrofit programme and opportunities associated with the Emirate-wide adoption of energy efficient technologies.
The summit opened with a keynote addresse from H.E Ahmad Al Muhairbi, Secretary General, Dubai Supreme Council of Energy. Over the two days, attendees discussed government and private sector initiatives towards a sustainable Dubai as well as strategies and the latest innovations to enable the implementation of an effective retrofit programme.
RetrofitTech Dubai Summit & Awards 2018 will give insight on the progress of the programme and provide an update on the retrofitting strategy across Dubai. The summit will highlight the latest project opportunities for retrofitting government buildings, as well as the buildings within the commercial, retail, hospitality, healthcare, education, and industrial sectors, and the best practice retrofitting strategies.
The event will also discuss future financing models, regulative frameworks, and requirements as well as showcase the latest technologies and products for use in retrofitting to achieve energy savings and ROIs.
Opportunities in UAE’s Retrofitting Market
Some of the important future projects by Etihad ESCO will include energy management service (EMS) works for the Dubai Civil Defense, Hatta solar project, Dubai International Airport (Phase 2), and Dry-docks (Phase 2).
Etihad Energy Services (Etihad ESCO) has signed its first private sector service agreement with UAE based luxury property developer Seven Tides. As part of this agreement, Etihad ESCO will now develop and tender ESCO activities for 22 properties, that are owned and managed by Seven Tides.
Under the Service Agreement, Etihad ESCO will provide Services to at least 22 properties, including offices, hotels and residential units in the emirate. The service agreement will provide Seven Tides with the market’s best energy conservation and solar solutions across Seven Tides’ portfolio of current real estate and hospitality projects.
