In 2017, the European “Smart Home” market has grown dramatically and is expected to increase 14.5% between 2017 and 2022. According to Gartner, it is expected that a typical family home could contain more than 500 smart devices in five years’ time. Today not only products but also services – mainly the user experience – are really important for the consumers in order to cover their principal concerns.
ACI’s European Smart Homes 2017 will be taking place on 25th & 26th October 2017 in London, UK. The two day event will bring together key industry stakeholders from the energy industry, IT, telecoms operators, utilities, insurance and property management companies, governments, consultants, solution and technology providers. The key discussions will involve monetisation, customer approach, partnership and interoperability.
Smart Homes are considered to be one of the most important technological revolutions impacting day to day life in the foreseeable future. Telecommunications operators, utilities, retail, insurance, consumer hardware, home emergency assistance providers, security companies, construction firms & property management companies are now in the process of either defining their strategy, have recently defined it, or have already launched the first generation of products & services into the European market, which is rapidly catching up on the more mature American market.
