Egypt’s Renewable Energy Summit is Egypt’s largest gathering on renewable energy, divided into a huge Exhibition and a two day Conference.
Egypt is considered to have a great wealth of renewable energy resources and is already making good progress towards becoming a significant player in the renewable energy industry.
While the Egyptian government expects the renewable energy sector to produce 20% of total power generation by 2020, different events and decisions are made as steps to reach this goal.
Egypt’s Renewable Energy Conference is the major event to gather Egyptian policymakers and business leaders from all around the world to discuss opportunities for international experts and leading developers in renewable energy to reach the economic and environmental benefits of implementing renewable energy programs in Egypt.

Egypt plans to boost dramatically the portion of energy coming from renewable sources, getting 20% of the projected 60 gigawatts of demand in 2020 from renewable energy. In 2014, total companies established in the renewable energies field in Egypt reached more than 150 companies.
